GENERAL NORMS FOR ADMISSIONS & ELIGIBILITY TO F.Y.J.C. / S.Y.J.C. (ARTS / COMMERCE)
 
  • Admission to F.Y.J.C. Commerce will start after the declaration of the S.S.C. result by the Mumbai Divisional Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education during the hours to be notified for the purpose.
  • A student who has passed at one and the same attempt the S.S.C. /I.C.S.E./CBSE and examination conducted by the Mumbai Divisional Board of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board, is eligible to apply for admission to the F.Y.J.C. class in Arts/ Commerce.
  • Admission, for those passing an Examination other than that conducted by the Board (from other Board), is provisional and Final Eligibility Certificate issued by the Mumbai Divisional Board will have to be submitted to the College within one month of provisional admission. The student should submit the Eligibility Certificate within one month from the date of provisional admission to the Mumbai Divisional Board through the college along with his/her necessary documents before the notified date, failing which his/her admission is liable to be cancelled. The college is being run by the Linguistic Minority Institution. The Management is eligible for the benefits guaranteed under 30(1) of the Indian Constitution.
  • Students seeking admission will have to come in person with the application form duly filled in, along with relevant original certificates.
  • The application in the prescribed form must be filled in completely and signed by the student & countersigned by his/her parent/guardian.
  • No admission is valid unless it is granted by the Authority or the Principal & the full fees received by the college at the time of admission.
  • All admissions are valid for one academic year only. A student who has qualified himself / herself for admission to the next higher class will have to fill a fresh application in the prescribed form and pay the full amount within the period notified.
  • A student belonging to the Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe or VJNT and other Backward Classes must produce original caste certificate & submit the attested true copy of the same along with admission form.
  • For students securing admission to S.Y.J.C., he /she will have to fill in the admission form and attach all the original documents of the last exam, including those of Std. X (Std. 10th & FYJC) exam. Admission will be purely given on the merit of the case.
  • For admission to F.Y.J.C., it is necessary to produce the following original documents together with an attested copy of each:
  • S.S.C. Exam Passing Certificate from Board of exam.
  • Statement of Marks of examination mentioned above.
  • School Leaving Certificate (Original and Attested Copy).
  • Eligibility Certificate other than that exam conducted by the Maharashtra Board. The students are hereby informed that the original School Leaving Certificate will be kept by the College as a permanent record & in any case, will not be returned to the students. The student are advised to keep with them sufficient number of attested copies for future use, if necessary. The School Leaving Certificate once submitted, will not be returned under any condition.
  • Students passing from ICSE/ CBSC/ IB/ IGCSE or SSC from outside state will have to produce eligibility certificate from Mumbai HSC Board Vashi. He/She shall not be allowed to appear for HSC exams in case he/she fails to produce the Eligibility Certificate.

Following documents are required, to issue the Eligibility Certificate.

  • 3. Passing/ Prov. Passing Certificate Xth (Original)

  • 6. Report of verification (for  Pvt. Student only)
